Preschool assistant needed for January 2020 start

Grindleford and Eyam Playgroup are looking for an assistant to join our well-established team.

We are passionate about children accessing the outdoors and we hope to inspire a love of learning that will last them for a lifetime. The successful candidate will be part of our Woodland Adventures group on Wednesday and Friday.  These sessions provide wonderful opportunities for the children to play and explore. The high adult:child ratio offers our practitioners the opportunity to form a strong relationship with each child; to observe their discoveries and to support them as they find out what they can achieve.

Our ideal candidate:

  • has a level 3 childcare qualification, PCGE or other relevant qualification
  • has a commitment to delivering high quality early learning
  • enjoys working and playing outdoors
  • is self-motivated and reliable
  • communicates easily and well with children, families and colleague
  • is energetic, enthusiastic and fun

Working hours are 9-3pm on Wednesdays and Fridays with the option to add Tuesdays (9-3pm) in the Summer term. The playgroup operates during term time only.

This is a fixed term contract up to 17th July 2020, with the option of a permanent position in September 2020 for the right candidate.

Forest school assistant needed for maternity cover

Grindleford and Eyam Playgroup are looking for a forest school assistant to provide maternity cover. The successful candidate will join our well-established Friday forest school session held in the nearby National Trust woodland.

Are you looking for experience of forest school, or thinking of studying for a forest school qualification? We can offer you a great learning opportunity and support from our team of highly experienced leaders.

Our ideal candidate:

  • has a commitment to delivering high quality early learning
  • enjoys working and playing outdoors
  • is self-motivated and reliable
  • communicates easily and well with children, families and colleagues
  • is energetic, enthusiastic and fun

 A level 3 childcare qualification, PCGE or other relevant qualification would be an advantage.

Working hours are 9.30-12.30 on Fridays, term time only.

This is a fixed term contract covering maternity leave up to 17th July 2020.
