What skills does my child build at Forest School?

We take great pride in the quality of our children’s outdoor learning and believe it is the carefully considered child-focused planning and the enthusiastic and engaged attitude of our adults which turns it into such a valuable learning opportunity.

As with every single aspect of pre-school life, our Forest School plays a vital role in delivering the Government’s Early Years Foundation Stage. A fundamental goal of the EYFS is to help children develop the skills they need to succeed at school, and our Forest School activities are designed to do just this. The table below sets out the foundational skills a child needs to succeed in the classroom – these are just some of the skills that the children develop over the course of their Forest School journey with us.
