This week the Eyam Mechanics Institute opened its doors to GEP’s fifth official Comedy Night.
This year, due to overwhelming interest the decision was made to extend our run and put on a second show.
Rob Rouse hosted as audiences were entertained by award winning comedians Phil Nicol, Helen Rutter and Brennan Reece as they used the opportunity to preview new material before they head to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. A mixture of stand up, story-telling and comedy drama was presented over the two nights and the audiences laughed and cried along with the hilarious and sometimes moving performances.
Over 140 people braved the heat to join us and helped us raise £1427.20 which will go a huge way to helping playgroup next year.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to putting the nights on, special thanks to Rob, Helen, Phil and Brennan.
Keep your eyes peeled for information on the next Eyam Comedy Fringe Festival!
