We have reached the end of the school year, a time of many emotions. A sadness of having to say goodbye to some children but lots of excitement seeing them head off to new adventures.
This year we said goodbye to 24 children as they start a new chapter at school.
Before they left we knighted them all as kings and queens of the forest in our traditional ‘Knighting Ceremony’. In the weeks leading up to the end of term each child works to make their own individual sword using different tools and techniques. Parents and families are invited to join us in the woods for the morning and each child is knighted with their swords.
There was some teary eyes as we looked back over the children’s time with us and lots of laughs as stories were recalled.
We are so lucky to be a part of so many children’s journeys!
